Autodesk Configurator 360: Quote & Design Automation for Simple Products

Online product configuration made easy

Work from anywhere. Process what you need, when you need, and get the outputs that you need.

Autodesk Configurator 360™ is a cloud-based solution created by D3 Technologies that enables you to provide engineers, sales reps, and end customers with web and mobile access to a 3D configuration of your products. Easily upload existing models to the cloud and create custom-branded 3D configuration experiences to impress your customers, give them what they need, and help grow sales of your products.

Configurator 360 is intended for manufacturers who design, manufacture, and sell configurable products - semi-standard products that have many similarities, yet also many differences such as size, output, or style options. Such products are very common in the industrial equipment and building products manufacturing markets, although Configurator 360 can be a valuable tool for manufacturers that serve any markets.

Problems Configurator 360 Helps Solve

Providing online product configuration access to end users helps manufacturers reduce the time spent by engineers responding to routine design requests, and enables faster response time with better, more accurate information.

By automating important elements of the design and sales process, Configurator 360 helps manufacturers overcome challenges in their overall bid response process to help bring products to market faster, win more business, and increase their overall efficiency and profitability.

D3 took our entire Engineering & Design process (2D, 3D, BOM & ERP) from 8 hours to 15 minutes.

Consulting, Training and Support

No advanced technical skills are required to configure designs online using a configurator created by Configurator 360. Similarly, no advanced technical skills are required for an administrator user to simply upload properly prepared configurable Autodesk Inventor or Fusion 360 designs to Configurator 360, to control end-user access permissions, and to perform certain other administrator tasks.

However, properly preparing configurable models for use in Configurator 360 can require the use of more advanced skills in Autodesk Inventor. Certain basic parametric options can be established by designers with a basic level of proficiency with Inventor or Fusion 360; however, working with more complex rules-based designs (such as iLogic) can require more expertise.

D3 also provides consulting services and has developed more intensive rules-based tools for the complex needs that iLogic and Fusion 360 can't handle.
