PSI is a multi-discipline design and fabrication firm that provides mainly skid mounted turnkey ready packages to numerous industries. Their products are commonly utilized in oil and gas production, but are not limited to those arenas.

Powering BP
Recently, PSI provided three FlexEnergy Flex Turbine generators to operate BP Wamsutter’s newest water disposal unit. BP required reliable power generation from a system that meets the strictest air quality standards, requires low maintenance, and is designed for remote, industrial sites. The turbines also had to be able to be operated, if necessary, off of LPG.
Power Service, Inc. was able to come up with a system that is fueled using pipeline natural gas to produce continuous power in an area where no utility power is available. The three units are governed by one control unit that monitors current power loads, automatically bringing machines on and offline to meet changing power demands.
In the face of strict requirements and specifications, Power Service, Inc. produced FlexEnergy systems that will power 100% of BP’s on site power requirements.

PSI partners with D3 Technologies and utilizes several Autodesk products such as Product Design Suite (now referred to as the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection) and AutoCAD P&ID to accomplish tasks.
Maintaining subscriptions on all their suites, PSI makes sure they always have the latest software to stay ahead of their competition. Subscriptions provide PSI with the option of utilizing Cloud Computing, upgrading their software when new Autodesk releases come out, access to online technical support, and flexible licensing privileges.
In addition to their software subscription, PSI maintains a CAD support contract with D3 to ensure they get the very most out of their software investment. “The ease and quickness to access the D3 support team helps nearly eliminate downtime when any software questions or glitches come up,” says Zeb Rino, Drafting/Design manager for PSI.
PSI is also using Autodesk Vault Professional to manage their CAD data effectively and efficiently. Most recently, PSI worked with D3 to transition to using Vault Professional company-wide.
Expanding into the Future
PSI continues to find success in their market, and recently announced that they’re expanding market coverage into Texas, as well as opening another fabrication facility in their Casper, WY location to keep up with demand. In 2013, PSI plans to implement a complete ERP system.
